The New Year Resolution: 2015

New Year’s resolutions, carving new paths, turning over a new leaf… 2015 means a new opportunity to tell the story of who you are and who you’re becoming. The hardest part of having a New Year’s resolution is actually keeping it. But the second hardest part is definitely coming up with one. There are many things we need to take oath of, but gradually when it’s time for it we fail as to what should be our resolution of the year. Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.

Do you even remember your 2014 New Year’s Resolution?

Years will come and go in absence of the clarity of goals of every year, the life will be aimless. It will be a matter of probability where you arrive, what you have and what you become. I promised not to crib since July and its December. That’s my first failure. I completely forgot about the promise that I made in July. But still I’m honest, even though I’m not on track to meet some of my goals. Do you feel you’re caught up in the stress of life quite often? Did you feel judgmental, negative self talker and anger were a big part of your days? Reflecting on how you’ve felt over your year and being honest with yourself about it gives you the chance to know how to adjust and move forward from this moment forward whether it be the New Year or not.

Let Go Things before the New Year

  • Judging other people can become a habit and an addiction.
  • Stop the blame game by pointing fingers when it comes to our challenges.
  • Stop worrying and trying so hard to fit in and be accepted by others.
  • Stop all the negative self talk that revoke ourselves and empower all the things we wish to adjust about ourselves.
  • Pick someone who will see the bigger picture and be honest with you.
  • Stop speaking your heart to the one who broke your trust ones.

Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous New Year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source – a Shower of Dreams – just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.

My invitation to you is to do an honest assessment of where you are in achieving your New Year’s goal. The first is to remember what they were! Followed by figuring out your progress.
